PJ Library Edmonton

PJ Library sends free Jewish children's books to families across the world every month. In Edmonton, we host both the PJ Library (newborn to eight-year-olds) and PJ Our Way (nine to 12-year-olds) programs so families in our community have access to this wonderful resource.

A program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, PJ Library is made possible through partnerships with philanthropists and local Jewish organizations, like the Jewish Federation of Edmonton. PJ Library welcomes all Jewish families, whatever your background, knowledge, or family make-up, or observance may be.

We know that something magical happens when parents sit down together to read with their children. PJ Library shares Jewish stories that can help your family talk together about values and traditions that are important to you. We also know that building community is essential to well-being and Jewish identity development. In addition to the books families receive from PJ directly, we offer local programs for young children, older children/tweens and families in the Edmonton PJ community.

  • Meet Mira Campbell - PJ Programmer

I am excited to be the PJ/PJ Our Way programmer with the Jewish Federation of Edmonton. I have close to 25 years of experience as an early childhood educator, and have been immersed in our Jewish community for 14 years at the Talmud Torah Early Learning Centre, as a lead educator. I love seeing my former preschool students at PJ programs, and to have the opportunity to continue to flourish and strengthen my relationships with all Jewish Edmonton families.

  • Thanks to a PJ Library grant, Amanda Rose had a wonderful experience hosting a small Chanukah get together to introduce her non-Jewish friends to the holiday. The Get Together grant, provided by a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, supports families in organizing a Jewish-related event with up to $100. Families can apply for the grant up to three times a year.
